Compliance

Compliance

Mutual trust, predictability, honesty, and straightforwardness, both inside and outside the company, are the fundamental principles of the Würth Group. Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Reinhold Würth laid these values down in the Würth Group’s corporate philosophy back in the 1970s. These values have remained the basis for how we interact with our customers, suppliers, and other business partners to this day.

Code of Compliance of the Würth Group

The Würth Group’s Code of Compliance not only stipulates compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, it also provides employees with a mindset that is an essential building block of the sustained corporate success of the Würth Group.

The Würth Group supports this inner mindset. With the Code of Compliance, the Würth Group requires all its employees to adhere to all applicable national and international laws and regulations. To make these principles more transparent, not only for the employees, but also for customers, suppliers, and other business partners, the Würth Group has developed practical rules of conduct based on its corporate values, summarized in the Würth Group’s Code of Compliance. The Code of Compliance contains minimum requirements that must be observed by all employees of the Würth Group worldwide. Every employee therefore has to be familiar with the Code of Compliance and commit to the fundamental principles and rules of conduct contained therein. The management bodies and executives of all Group companies bear a special responsibility as they have a role model function.

The Code of Compliance is supported by the firm conviction of the Würth family, the Supervisory Board, the Advisory Board, and the Central Management Board of the Würth Group that a living compliance culture constitutes an integral part of the Würth Group’s sustained success.

SpeakUp reporting hotline

By upholding its Code of Compliance, the Würth Group sends a clear signal that it will always act with integrity in its internal dealings and in its dealings with customers, suppliers, and other business partners.

Often, information from third parties helps uncover white-collar crime. This is why the Würth Group created a system that allows everyone to share information on potential criminal actions and other material breaches of the Code of Compliance. This web-based system uses a certified security software that is used successfully by companies, administrations, and organizations in more than 190 countries. The system—referred to as SpeakUp in the Würth Group—is solely intended to call attention to suspected cases of white-collar crime or major compliance violations within the Würth Group. Any misuse of this system for other purposes can constitute a criminal offense.

Any information on potential compliance violations can be submitted through this system, either anonymously or with contact information. Any information provided is treated with the utmost confidentiality, taking into account the protected interests of all parties involved. To submit information, please follow the system instructions.
