Baltijas Elektro Sabiedziba Ltd. was founded on 5 January 1994 as a Latvian-German joint venture based primarily on an initiative by the German electrics wholesale company Ohlendorf+Francke GmbH. In early 2000, the company was taken over by the Würth Group.
