Würth Expands Soccer Sponsoring
Künzelsau-Gaisbach / Buchs – For 15 months, the Würth Group will be present at the qualifying round for the European Soccer Championships. Advertising for the world market leader in the trade with fixing and assembly materials will be shown on stadium boards at 134 matches from mid-August on. With that, Würth expands the international communication strategy in the field of soccer sponsoring at European level.
Relations between soccer and Würth are nothing new. The company has been investing in sport sponsoring for 30 years already and at the beginning of the 1990s Würth went into European soccer. During the last years, Würth’s involvement was founded on the partnership with Franz Beckenbauer and on sponsorships at various clubs. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary the globe-spanning corporation from Künzelsau develops the sport as an international communication platform. By concluding an agreement with the ISA International Sports Agency AG (based in east Switzerland) Würth guarantees that there is effective publicity for the company during the qualifying round for the Euro 2008. At 134 matches in total Würth will be seen on 4 static advertising boards (an alternative would be swiveling or video boards).

Both the company and soccer are known for characteristics such as team spirit, performance, perseverance and willingness to give one’s best. “This sport suits us very well and complements our commitment for motor and winter sports.”
