Würth Group Steps Up Participation in Bankhaus Bodensee
Künzelsau-based trading business now with participation of 88.55 %
Künzelsau/Hohenlohe Region: The Würth Group - since May 2005 new shareholder of Internationales Bankhaus Bodensee AG (IBB) with 44.76 % of the shares – has taken over further shares, which had been held by Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) so far, in January 2006. With this, the Würth Group has become the main shareholder of IBB with 88.55 % of the shares.
As of December 31, 2004, the balance sheet total of IBB amounted to EUR 414 million and the annual net income before taxes to EUR 1.69 million.
Internationales Bankhaus Bodensee AG was founded by an international group of shareholders in 1996; today’s main shareholder is Würth Finanz-Beteiligungs-GmbH with 88.55 % and Vorarlberger Landes- und Hypotheken-Bank AG, Bregenz/Austria with 10 % of the shares.
With its 80 employees IBB is above all active in the business areas of investment management and business with medium-sized customers that are in particular need of consultation. Up until now, IBB has exclusively been active in the Bodensee Region with headquarters in Friedrichshafen and further branches in Konstanz, Radolfzell and Überlingen. From February 2006 on, there will be another branch in Künzelsau-Gaisbach whose focus will be on the competent consultation of wealthy customers an customers who are creating wealth.
For the Würth Group the participation in IBB is an important component in the establishment of a largely independent area of financial services that includes besides the highly successful Würth Leasing (for over 10 years) also Waldenburger Versicherung and the insurance broker Würth Kirsch. In Switzerland, too, the Würth Group is active in the field of financial services with its company Würth Financial Services in the fields of provision, insurance and property and the insurance broker Oberhänsli & Partner.
