From Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell to Heidi Klum – Würth Girls Calendar turns 30

Künzelsau. The Girls Calendar of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG celebrates its 30th birthday. Published for the first time in 1984, this calendar is always given exclusively to selected customers and employees worldwide.

Today, the large-size Würth wall calendar has become iconic among Würth customers from the trades and industry. The shots that have been taken mainly on beaches since 1993 are a particular eye-catcher and Würth calendars can be found in workshops all around the world. "The calendar features classy and high-quality photographs. This is why the Würth Girls Calendar is a head-turner and given a special place in our workshop every year", says Marc Panke, Würth customer and Deputy Purchasing Manager of Nissan dealership group C. Thomsen GmbH from Halstenbek, Hamburg.

Claudia Schiffer was the first top model to pose on the calendar's sheets in 1999. Ever since, top models such as Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Laetitia Casta, Alessandra Ambrosio or Karolina Kurkova have adorned this Würth production. For the Girls Calendar, Würth cooperates with New York-based photographer Stephan Würth, who has been shooting top models for GQ, Vogue or Playboy and also took pictures of stars such as Pharrell Williams.

The popular calendars are printed in Germany or Italy and the circulation is increasing: back in 1984, we started with a few thousand copies but 1993 saw already 150,000 print runs. In 2015, we will give 723,000 calendars to Würth customers in some 60 countries. Since 2003, another Würth calendar with male models has been published which is enjoying increasing popularity, too.
