Application deadline for the Würth Education Award - Award for future-oriented economics school projects
Künzelsau. The invitation to participate in the Würth Education Award by the Competence Center Economic Education is going to expire on 31 July 2008.
Secondary schools of general education from Baden-Württemberg can apply for the award by submitting future-oriented economic projects.
Contrary to many other tenders, the Würth Education Award does not honor projects that have already been terminated, but future projects with a business connection. This can be school projects (e.g. for combined subjects like economy-work-health, geography-economy-social studies, subjects for special projects at Realschule [schools preparing students for apprenticeships and vocational qualifications] as well as for the inclination subject economy at grammar schools) or also school development projects that help improve the economic education of pupils in subject or year-overlapping groups.
The Competence Center Economic Education of the Charitable Würth Trust chooses two out of each type of school after the application deadline that are granted one year of professional, personnel and financial support for the implementation of their ideas. In fall 2009, the best projects will be presented with the Würth Education Award including EUR 12,000 in prize money, and the “Oscar Fasty” trophy.
Günther H. Oettinger, Minister President of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, has assumed patronage of the Würth Education Award.
