New opportunity for admission to long-distance studies Akademie Würth offers individual preparatory courses for suitability exams

Künzelsau. For the first time, Akademie Würth is offering those interested a preparatory course for suitability exams as a special admission to university studies at Hamburger Fern-Hochschule (Hamburg long-distance university). The courses individually tailored to the participants start on 19 June 2008. There are still some places available.

For many years, Akademie Würth has been cooperating with Hamburger Fern-Hochschule. The studies centre in Bad Mergentheim is operated by Akademie Würth.

Whoever has no academic degree enabling them to study at a Fachhochschule has the chance to acquire the right to study at Hamburger Fern-Hochschule with a special admissions exam. The exams are carried out in the subjects of German and mathematics.

The experience at Bad Mergentheim study center showed that especially German constitutes an obstacle to candidates interested in this type of university admission. As a preparation for the exam, Akademie Würth is now offering an intensive course in German. This offer is equally interesting for Germans with weaknesses in this subject and for applications from a migration background.

In order to permit as efficient a preparation for the exam as possible, the small-group course has been divided into two parts. The first step (12 hours) promotes both a general improvement of the basics and analyzes in what areas there is a special need for brushing-up and catching-up. These individual needs are then worked on in the second part of the course and are trained especially. Through the exercises and special training measures tailored to each participant, every candidate is promoted individually. In addition to the training hours done in the group, a work part with exercises is completed at home.

The dates for the first part of the course are 19 and 26 June 2008, 3 and 10 July, from 17:30 to 19:00 respectively, as well as 28 June from 09:00 to 12:30 in addition. The dates for the second part of the course are agreed in the group.
