New Würth Logistics Center Officially Opened in Russia
Künzelsau/Moscow. On the occasion of the company's 20th anniversary, Würth Russia Moscow inaugurated the first logistics complex of the Würth Group on Russian territory. Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group's Family Trusts and Dr. Reiner Specht, deputy member of the Central Managing Board officially opened the new logistics center together with the management team of the Russian subsidiary.
"For us, Russia is an important growth market. We are now in a position to cater to the Russian customers in the metropolitan area of Moscow even better with the new logistics center, faster order processing and more efficient solutions of operative tasks", said Dr. Reiner Specht when explaining the investment.
The logistics complex consists of a three-story building with a total surface area of 9,100 square meters, three zones dedicated to the storage of goods as well as ten zones for loading and unloading. Storage capacity is 12,500 pallet places. At the end of the summer 2013, construction of the logistics complex in the business park Indigo in the southwestern area of Moscow was completed. The total investment volume amounts to roughly 14 million euro. It is planned to erect an office building next to the logistics complex, too.
