Rolf Bauer celebrates 50 years on the job for the Würth Group
Künzelsau. Rolf Bauer (69), Member of the Advisory Board, the supreme supervisory and controlling body of the Würth Group, has been active for the Group for 50 years. Rolf Bauer played a decisive role in pushing the development of the Group in the past decades and had a formative influence on the company through his outstanding commitment. He has made a major contribution to the development of the family business into a globally operating group of companies.
Rolf Bauer is a shining example of a typical career at Würth. After an apprenticeship as an electrician at Ziehl-Abegg, a Künzelsau-based manufacturer of fans, he changed to Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG in 1963 to start a business apprenticeship. In the following years, he made a great career for himself. From 1966 to 1970, Rolf Bauer was in charge of the purchasing department and from 1970 to 1980 of in-house sales. Later, he assumed responsibility for the marketing department. In 1980, Reinhold Würth appointed him Managing Director. From 2001 to 2009, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group. Since then, Rolf Bauer has been Member of the Advisory Board of the Würth Group.
Even though Rolf Bauer had been active for the Group in all parts of the world, he never left his home region Hohenlohe. The father of two grown-up daughters lives in Waldenburg.
