Alongside her husband, Alma Würth was the driving force behind the foundation of the screw-wholesale business in Künzelsau in 1945.After her husband's sudden death in 1954, Alma Würth, who had supported her husband's business idea and committed herself to it from the very beginning, decided to continue to build up the company together with her 19-year-old son Reinhold Würth. As member of the Advisory Board she supported the growth of the Würth Group until 1993. Until recently, she took great interest in the operative business as honorary member of the Advisory Board. Alma Würth was born in Moorrege/Schleswig Holstein on 8 May 1913. She came from a family of gardeners near Hamburg. On 6 August 1932, she got married with Adolf Würth, who established a wholesale business for nuts and screws in the Künzelsau castle mill in 1945. On 20 April 1935, Alma Würth gave birth to her son Reinhold and on 11 April 1944 to her son Klaus-Frieder.Thanks to Alma Würth's initial idea the company has reached its present size. We will remember her with great honor and gratefulness.
