Competence Center Economic Education: Start of registration process for Management Symposium

Künzelsau/Sinsheim. The Competence Center Economic Education under the roof of the Charitable Würth Trust invites people interested to the 4th Management Symposium. Principals from the administrative region of Karlsruhe as well as managers from regional businesses can take part in this event at Hotel Sinsheim in Sinsheim on 16 and 17 April 2010.

The goal of the two-day symposium is to foster the active dialog between schools and economy by working together on common issues as well as by promoting the establishment of contacts. This year, the event entirely focuses on "Marketing services and education".

The symposium will be opened on Friday afternoon by Thomas Schenk, Chairman of the Advisory Board for Economic Education, and Lothar Wurz, Senior Inspector of schools in the district of Karlsruhe. In addition to that, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group's Family Trusts and initiator of the Competence Center Economic Education Baden-Württemberg, Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, will be present. Prof. Dr. Lothar Weinland, Academic Program Director for Services Marketing at Dual Academy Mannheim, will lecture on schools as service providers and reports on the latest findings as regards research into services. In moderated talk rounds called “World Café” the topics of the previous lectures will be discussed and dealt with thoroughly.

The first day of the symposium will end with a tour of the technology museum in Sinsheim.

On Saturday, the participants will attend several workshops dealing with personnel marketing, public relations, marketing instruments and fundraising.

Every working group is moderated by a duo from school and economy. In his lecture at the end of the symposium, Martin Knauerhase from the advertising agency FACTS will cover a wide range of subjects “From product marketing to education marketing”.

Competence Center Economic Education

The Competence Center Economic Education Baden-Württemberg is an initiative by the Charitable Würth Trust and was called into being by the entrepreneur Professor Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth in 2005. Main aim of the competence center is to promote understanding for economic issues in schools. There is a close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs, Youth and Sports of Baden-Württemberg.
