529 first-time employees start their training at Würth – Record figure: a total of 1,366 trainees in Germany

Künzelsau.On 3 September, 529 up-and-coming staff members start their careers at 66 German companies of the Würth Group. With this, the company once again stepped up the number of trainee positions, thus employing a total of 1,366 trainees in Germany.

141 trainees begin their careers at the Group's parent company Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG. 55 of them will work at Würth branch offices throughout Germany.

At the beginning, the trainees will be offered an intensive training phase. For instance, the two-week introductory program which is to prepare the new trainees of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG for their first day in their departments comprises communication training and team building activities. This year's highlights are furthermore media competence training as well as the presentation "Searching for the limit" by professional climber Michael Wohlleben. "We wish to integrate the school-leavers into the company as soon as possible", says Tamara Molitor, Head of the Training Department at Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG. "In order to make their start easier we pay special attention to the trainees getting to know each other."

Targeted promotion of up-and-coming staff

The Würth Group provides training in more than 50 different professions. These professions include commercial, logistics and IT apprenticeships. In addition to that, first-time employees may take a bachelor's degree at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University. Training in the German Group companies also centers on technical as well as on catering professions.

Thanks to various projects, up-and-coming Würth staff is given the opportunity to improve their specialist knowledge as well as to develop further and strengthen their social skills while being trained. Internships at branch offices, work at social institutions and European Würth companies as well as work-out activities in the sales force form an important part of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG's training plan. What is more, Würth offers various programs for further education alongside the job, among others bachelor and MBA courses.
