481 up-and-coming staff start their training at Würth - record figures: A total of 1027 trainees at the German Würth companies
Künzelsau. Today on 1 September 2011, 481 up-and-coming staff will start their careers at 52 German companies of the Würth Group. In Germany, the Würth Group employs 1027 trainees in total expanding the number of up-and-coming staff further with the start of the new training year.
The company employing the most trainees is the parent company Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG where 128 trainees will begin their careers. Fifty of them will work at Würth branch offices throughout Germany. Other major companies taking on trainees include Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG, Würth Elektronik Group, Arnold Umformtechnik as well as companies in the hotel and catering business.
"For the Würth Group, training is not only a catchword, it rather embodies the obligation to facilitate young people's entry into the professional world," Thomas Wagner, Head of the Training Department of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, explains. "Well-founded training constitutes the basis of a successful future."
Wide range of training possibilities
The Würth Group provides training in more than 60 different professions. These professions include commercial, logistics and IT apprenticeships. In addition to that, first-time employees may take a bachelor's degree at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University. Training in the German Group companies also centers on technical as well as on catering professions.
During their training, the young professionals will not only be establishing a well-founded knowledge basis, their personal development will also be furthered. Components such as ride-alongs with the sales force, internships at European Würth companies as well as work at social institutions are an important part of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG's training plan. In addition, even after training has been completed, Würth offers various programs for further academic education on-the-job.
