With precision and technique
The German alpine ski racers have also been true guarantees for success during the last years. At the World Cup in Schladming 2013 the team around Felix Neureuther and Maria Höfl-Riesch were able to win a total of four medals and thus showed the best World Cup performance since 1989.
At the Olympic Games in Sochi, Maria Höfl-Riesch won gold in the Super combined slalom and came in second in the super G. With a total of three gold medals and one silver medal, Höfl-Riesch has become the most successful female German ski racer in Olympic history. Viktoria Rebensburg, having returned from a longer injury lay-off, celebrated her bronze medal in the giant slalom and earned the third medal for the German team.
