With precision and technique

The Nordic combined is a mixture of cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The German Nordic combined athletes have always delivered in recent years, achieving consistent excellence. Ever since 2001, the team of national coach Hermann Weinbuch succeeded in bringing home medals from every World Cup and Olympic Games.

At the Olympic Games in Sochi the Nordic combined athletes swept an entire set of medals. Eric Frenzel won the first individual race and, after two World Cup titles, finally brought home his much longed for Olympic gold. Fabian Rießle earned the second individual medal, the bronze medal, and the men's team won silver.
